Mission

The Cutchogue Civic Association is a not-for-profit, community-based organization whose mission is to inform and educate residents about issues of community interest or concern. The association provides a neutral forum that promotes discussion, collaboration and the expression of diverse ideas.

Our Story

Origins and Purpose
 

  • Launch and Focus: 

    The Civic Association held its first public meeting in December 2022 at the Cutchogue New Suffolk Free Library

  • Community Voice: 

    A primary goal was to establish a platform for Cutchogue to speak with a unified and collective voice on local issues. 

  • Community Involvement: 

    The association seeks to foster greater community involvement and participation in civic life within the hamlet. 
     

Key Activities and Growth
 

  • Initial Meeting: 

    The launch meeting drew a large crowd, demonstrating strong community interest in both the association and the Peconic Community School's plans. 

  • Growth and Membership: 

    The organization has experienced steady growth, with a healthy number of members who actively participate and renew their memberships. 

  • Current Activities: 

    The association continues to engage in recruitment and membership drives, working to grow its base and its influence within the community.
